So this is the finished painting, it took about 4/5 days. I hadn't worked with watercolours for a long time and working from the plans I found challenging, so overall I'm happy with the results.
It's going to be a turf roofed cob house, using solar and wind power. Fingers crossed that the planning goes through.
Off to Devon tomorrow to attempt to draw a non existent building more accurately than the last guy. This should be interesting, possibly incredibly difficult but undoubtedly good to get me back into a good drawing practice again.
Today I've done some preliminary sketches figuring out the texture of thatch and cob (cob being the building material made of straw and clay, not some kind of bread roll).
